Class of 2005 - 2008 Graduation Requirements

I. Local Diploma


Complete 22 credits as shown above and score at least 55 on all 5 required exams, including:

English
Global History
United States History
Math A
Science


II. Regents Diploma

Complete 22 credits as shown above and s core at least 65 on all 5 required exams, including:

English
Global History
United States History
Math A
Science


III. Regents Diploma w/Advanced Designation

Complete 22 credits as shown above and complete the additional requirements below

Complete one of the following:

A- 3 Credits of a language other than English (French or Spanish)

B- 5 credit sequence in the arts (Art or Music) or Career Technical education (Business, Technology or BOCES).

Additional Testing requirements for the Advanced Diploma:

A- Pass one additional Math Regents exam with at least a 65 (Math B Regents, Geometry or Algebra II/Trigonometry)

B- Pass one additional science Regents exam with at least a 65 (Biology, Earth Science, Chemistry or Physics)



Diploma Endorsements

 

Advanced or Regents Diplomas with Honors

Endorsement for students who achieve an average of 90 percent on all Regents exams required for their particular Diploma (Regents or Advanced Designation) *no rounding of grades is allowed.

Career & Technical Endorsement

Endorsement given to students attending a CTE program at BOCES who complete state requirements and pass a state examination.

Career & Technical Honor Society Endorsement

Endorsement given to students attending a CTE program at BOCES who complete the requirements to be a CTE honor society member.
